Breath of Life
Death I want life.
To live the simple things in life,
To feel the sensations of each day,
To love whoever I meet on my way.
Death I want life.
I want to see my children grown up.
I want to hold my hand when it's needed,
I want to see a piece of me in a born grandchild.
Like a flash of lightning my life passed.
Full of life... but without having lived my own life.
It was at dusk on a beautiful day,
The sun high on fire on the horizon was disappearing.
The trees were bare and dry with the onset of winter,
And a heavy fog covered part of an immense green lawn.
Seeing and loving all this, I wish I had more time to live.
At that moment, I made a request to death:
"Death, I want life... to live the simple things in life.
So I can have time to love more and more those I love in life.
But suddenly I thought, scared:
"Will death know the destiny of my life?"
