Breath of Life

I am afraid of happiness.
For me a sign of sadness, anxiety… suffering.

I am afraid of the sensation of joy,
Because life gives us is feeling of being happy
Only for a few moments.

As if we were play things in life’s hands,
Life gives and takes from us our wishes,
As if our feelings were not so important.

I am afraid of the unknown.
The giant, prepotent and magnificent,
Uncontrollable in its wishes, invincible in its evil.

We are pushed through life
As a river in furious despair.

I am afraid of happiness, because like us,
Is dominated by the prepotent giant…
The magnificent unknown.
