Breath of Life

or the good times you brought us, tpray from july.
that date
It will never be forgotten.

Months before because of you our lives were messed up.
Plans were drawn,
and d
decisions were taken.

We’ve come a long way,dEngland, because in London we lived.
Mom led the way, followed by Paula,
And finally Claudia and Dad arrived.

A week later at the airport we were,
We went to look for Teresa, the dear bride,
Which came from the United States.

Teresa came from Miami, because she decided to live there.
on your arrivalso Mom and Dad were waiting for her.
Because   Paula and Cláudia were sick at home.

Paula was to blamedand so much sickness at home.
Well, he went to Itaipava,
And from there I brought that damned flu.

Paula, Claudia, Mom and Dad fell, It isafter a day at home,
In bed with a fever,
Theresa was too.

With the arrival of the weddingTheour anxiety grew.
And where would the party be?
Until close to the wedding day, no one even knew!

Will there be water, will there be flowers? And the whiskey that Dad wanted so badly?
And Friar Henrique,
That the mass songs did not want?

And so every dayTheThe questions grew.
For neither the beautiful bouquet,
The bride wanted!

Mom, put yourself in my shoes! From afar she said.
But… mom not understanding what she was saying,
He continued to decorate with ribbons, flowers and music,Oway she would go.

A few days passed,It isonce again at the airport we were.
We went to wait for the groom, José Américo, José, Zé,
Who in the States of Joe was baptized once more.

In a dark blue suit, uwearing a tie, very elegant he looked.
In hand, symbolizing victory in the fight for your dreams,
Grateful for the American flag it carried.

As background music… the bridal march was heard.
Vine of the red rose, whatwhich Teresa brought with affection.
Along with photos and flowers, the happy couple embraced.

Few days were left for another expected moment.
For once again the family to be together at the table.
Friday, eve of the big day, dand Campinas Carlos and Angela arrived.

Grandma Hilda’s house was packed. When it was time to sleep, they even lay down in the living room!
Happy grandma, together with Ondina the maid,
I saw what was missing for each one who arrived.

July 13th, you’re finally here. Happy the family was divided.
Some working for the feast of their day,
Others… dressing up for that day.

Mom, Teresa and Claudia left. They went to Teresa, our friend,
That with artist’s hands, a miracle in Mom did.
Grandma and Angela also left to beautify themselves.

Dad and Carlos? Early on Paissandu Street they were.
They went to get the sweets that arrived from Minas Gerais.
Later on the Chaika, they went to find Isolda, who
with the cake waited.

What a scare they had! The guard almost took
Dad, Carlos, Isolda and the cake along with him.
Because the car they were using, the documents at home they had left.

The wedding party was almost
without Carlos, Dad, Isolda and… Otasty cake
Which everyone was eagerly waiting for.

In the evening, on the wedding day, Noemia with her fairy hands arrived.
Teresa came to fix it, and she was very pretty.
Photos, colorful dresses, these moments of life were unforgettable.

When the time for the wedding arrived, Dad at home alone with Teresa stayed.
They were waiting for our friend Affonso,
That in her new Santana the happy bride settled down.

Along Ipanema beach the silver car continued.
Cars stopped to see the bride in white pass by.
T
Everyone wanted to see the beautiful bride, who was smiling and waving to everyone.

Finally at Santa Mônica Church, adorned with ribbons and white flowers,
Eagerly the guests waited.
After the godparents, the groom with his mother and Mom entered.

Next came the bridesmaids, who wore beautiful white dresses.
Happy and smiling, holding Dad’s arm, with mvery calm Teresa entered.
As background music, fascination music played by a violin.

Teresa in a white embroidered dress, like a fairy queen.
Wearing on her head a crown of pearls and a long veil, her feet firm and confident,
They stepped on white shoes, which were covered with satin.

How much emotion, how much tenderness in those unforgettable moments.

Young people playing the guitar and singing, joined the guests, participating dthis touching wedding ceremony.

And the party? How many surprises! And everything ended up working out….
Teresa and Zé were happy. Paula and Cláudia were also happy,
Which after the bride were the most noticed at the party.

Claudia with curly hair and beach burn,
A new heart conquered.
Wearing a black lace skirt and a thin red blouse, everyone’s attention was aroused.

End of party… end of night. The family in their party clothes,
I cleaned up the confetti that had spread across the floor.
The bride and groom??? They were finally alone in Marcelo’s apart-hotel.

This is a story in verse of a beautiful wedding party.
So that we never forget,
Teresa, Zé and their happy wedding day.
